Shoe rack

Custom-built for the closet near my front entrance. The rack sits at the bottom of a combo that also includes a closet rod — routed from solid lumber into an ellipse profile — and a shelf above.

Overall 68 × 14 × 23 in, with each rack roughly 10” deep. The outer edge of each rack sits slightly taller than the inner bar, so shoes either stay flush or angle back depending on the shoe. Three rows of dowels run through the structure for reinforcement and as an accent.

A surprising amount of work for what reads as a simple rack — every bar needs its edges softened and finished individually. Rubio Monocoat Pure.
