Dining table

Raw walnut from the Rosenzweig Lumber Corporation, milled to dimension and glued up into a single top. The base is a 28” black steel frame from Etsy seller FlowylineUS.

The top is as big as our dining room can comfortably support. I would have kept it thicker, but to get all the boards flat without ordering extras I had to plane down to 1 3/8”.

Finished in Rubio Monocoat Pure. High-traffic spots have picked up scratches over the years and it’ll want a refinish eventually. Seats six to eight comfortably — the chair in the photo is one of six we inherited from the previous homeowner; we’ve since replaced them.
