Pick flat pods before peas swell inside. Same growing window as snap peas — direct seed early spring, harvest before summer heat shuts them down.

Flat-pod snow peas on the south half of Bed C's pea trellis, sharing the cattle panel with the Sugar Snap on the other side.

Avalanche is a tall, productive snow pea with stringless flat pods — picked young, they go straight into a stir-fry. Seeded indoors and transplanted at the same time as the Sugar Snap; both shared the trellis through spring without crowding.
