Edible flowers + peppery leaves. Thrives in poor soil — rich soil gives lots of leaves and few flowers. Aphid trap crop near brassicas. Direct seeding works best; cover (light blocks germination).
Companion + edible. Kaleidoscope Mix scatters reds, oranges, and yellows around Bed A's squash block and Bed G's pepper block.
Direct-seeded in early May once frost was past. Both leaves and flowers are edible — peppery, like watercress; great in salads and as a garnish. Hoping they work well as aphid traps.

Cotyledons through (May 24) Heart-shaped first true leaves emerging. They take off once warm weather settles in.
